First and foremost educator

Love for Laundry: Folding Hail Mary’s
Laundry: a never-ending task,
Looming over me, growing beside me,
Requiring my time and lots of energy.
How can a mother embrace this job?
Quietly, I pray.
Folding my family’s clothes,
I think of them and of you, Lord.
Thankful for this blessing;
The awesome privilege
Of caring for them!
Dear Lord, please grant me all of the graces I need to see the hidden treasure in housework and in caring for my family!

We prayed this prayer in the car daily when my children were young and now my grandchildren pray it.
'O Lord Jesus, God of love, you are the center of our family. You humbled yourself and came to live among us; the greater part of your life was spent in your home with Joseph and Mary. Take our family and let your peace be with us. Help us to do your will,in all that we say or do.Guide us Jesus in our family decisions,our financial needs, our worries, our work, our play and in our studies.Give us a strong faith, strengthen our relationship with you. O Lord keep us on the path to the Father. We ask this in you Holy name. Amen.
