The Holy Spirit in your life...

While the Holy Spirit is fresh on our minds on this feast of Pentecost, how has the Holy Spirit inspired you as a parent sibling, aunt, uncle, son, daughter, or grandparent? Did I forget anyone?

Do you feel the Holy Spirit is moving in some way within your "domestic church"? Remember those wonderful gifts of the Holy Spirit that we were all given on our Confirmation days? Wisdom, Courage, Knowledge, Piety, Understanding, Counsel, Fear of the Lord. How do they appear in our lives? Do you feel like sharing with us? I hope you will.

And, by the way, my new book, The Heart of Catholicism published by Alpha/Penguin which will be released in the very near future will speak about all things Catholic. It speaks about the Holy Spirit in depth and the gifts and fruits.

Happy Pentecost Sunday

"And when the days of Pentecost were drawing to a close, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a violent wind coming, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them parted tongues as of fire, which settled upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in foreign tongues, even as the Holy Spirit prompted them to speak" (Acts 2, 1-4).

Happy Pentecost Sunday everyone! Enjoy the BLESSED day with your families. Drop me a comment to let me know what you're up to today.

God bless!

The Very First "View from the Domestic Church" post!

Hello!

I am launching the "View From the Domestic Church" blog. I hope you'll share your "domestic church" stories, advice, tips, and prayers here. Spread the word about this place to share, please.

I'll begin this launch with this prayer from my book, The Domestic Church: Room by Room: A Mother's Study Guide:

Dear Lord,

Please open my heart fully to your will in my life. Help me to recognize that my life should be an unceasing prayer to you in order that my family may become sanctified and that I may fulfill your holy will. Deepen my prayer life, my fervor of desire, and my love for you; reminding me to call upon the graces within the sacrament of my marriage so that I may guide my family with pure and holy love. Thank you for your blessings and opportunities to serve you, dear Lord.

Amen
