Blessed Mother Teresa's birthday

Today is the anniversary of Blessed Mother Teresa's birthday. If time allows, I'll write a post about her later on but for now I'll leave you with some very simple yet poignant words with which she instructed me: 

"Keep the joy of loving Jesus ever burning in your heart and share this joy with others by your thoughtful love and humble service."

This is something we can all strive to do.

My new radio show for Catholic families!

I'm happy to tell you that I'll be doing a new radio show on a regular basis. I'm calling my show "A Cup of Tea with Donna-Marie." I'll be discussing all kinds of Catholic family issues with Cheryl and Jim Manfredonia of Domestic Church Media Foundation. It will be at 4:15 PM Eastern time on the first Friday of every month.

As soon as I get the MP3 of the interview with Cheryl and Jim, I'll post it here at "View From the Domestic Church" so you can hear our introductory segment which was done at the Catholic Networking Network conference held this past week at the Valley Forge Convention Center in King of Prussia, PA (just outside of Philly).

My interview with Al Kresta at the recent CMN conference

One of the highlights of the recent CMN conference for me was to visit Al Kresta again for a radio interview. He's such a light to others through his ministry on the radio. I have seen him at many events and have also had the honor and pleasure of chatting with him at other times as well in various interviews.

You can hear our interview by going to the Ave Maria archive  on Al's blog here. Look in the left column under Podcast Archives and then click on "Friday, August 6, 2nd hour." I am at the beginning of the segment.

We talk about my "EWTN Series: “Everyday Blessings for Catholic Moms”  and my book Mother Teresa and Me: Ten Years of Friendship and my friendship with Mother Teresa.

I also was finally able to get a photo of the two of us. I carried my camera with me throughout my busy days at the CMN conference so I'd be able to snap a few photos or have some kind person nearby do the honors.
